HOW IT STARTED:
Some words from our founder, Sharonna Karni Cohen:
I started Dreame from a place of wanting everyone to feel like a creator. To feel special with their creativity even if they don’t necessarily have the skills to create the art itself. I approached some artists, asked them if they were interested in turning peoples dreams into art and getting paid for it. Every single one replied with a yes. At the time, I was also frustrated by the selfie generation and felt we need to be more active with our imaginations and less with our phones. Dreame allows any inspiration for the commission; from memories, visions, traumas, poems, stories, fantasies, ideas and even goals for the year ahead. The world of self-expression is changing. With the rise of customized goods and at least 40% of millennials having one tattoo. Everyone wants to feel special and art is a very beautiful medium to express a story. It is a universal and moving language.
Dreame invites individuals to co-create with real artists, real art, signed with the name of the commissioner next to the name of the artist. With the rise of AI and many engines now turning words into art, Dreame is encouraging art enthusiasts to support the artists. Dreame gives you a space to express yourself in any way you like and collaborate with an artist on the other side of the world. No need to change the way you tell your story, and rather express yourself in the purest and most authentic form. Commissioning of art has existed for centuries and art as a form to tell a story has existed since the beginning of time. Dreame is on mission to showcase our uniqueness and to remind us that dreaming is an infinite resource that we are each born with. We each have a story and we can each be inspired by our own, and others. Turning these stories into art, and have them in front of us every day. I imagine a history of art class in 2050 “You have learned about the different eras of art, from Renaissance to Surreal to Pop to NFT to AI. Dreame enhanced the genre of co-creation. Artists and non-artists collaborating to create art. You can’t get more human than that”.
Dreame’s team is comprised of hundreds of artists, designers, product leaders, psychologists, marketers, scientists, developers and magical creators around the world.
